Return the Vehicles and Lift the Siege on Masafer Yatta!
The Israeli military has begun seizing vehicles in Masafer Yatta in the West Bank — a deliberate move intended to suffocate Palestinian communities and forcibly displace them. Palestinian residents of the area are left defenseless, and we demand that you intervene to secure the return of the seized vehicles and put an end to the persecution of these communities.

On the orders of the Civil Administration, the Israeli military and police have recently begun seizing vehicles belonging to Palestinian residents throughout Masafer Yatta. For the first time, a vehicle belonging to peace activists who had come to assist one of the communities was also seized. This is a mountainous area with no water infrastructure or basic services, where vehicles are absolutely essential for daily life and for accessing educational institutions and medical services.
While Palestinian residents’ vehicles are being seized, various types of vehicles belonging to settlers living on farms and in outposts in the very same area continue to move around freely and without interference. It is clear that the seizure of vehicles is intended to force Palestinian residents to abandon their homes and allow settlers to take over the area, as they have been attempting to do for a long time.
Palestinian residents have been left defenseless in the face of settler attacks and harassment by the military. We call on the international community and its representatives to intervene and demand that Israel immediately return all seized vehicles and put an end to the ongoing persecution of Palestinian residents.
